Keyano College Huskies Athletics today announced Marvin Earl Herico Par (Fort McMurray, Alta.) as this week's recipient of the Keyano Huskies Esports Performer of the Week.  Playing under the username "Money Marv", Par guided the Valorant Esports Huskies to a pair of victories across two separate leagues.

In National Association of Collegiate Esports (NACE) action, Par and the Huskies claimed a 2-0 win over Southern Oregon University. He more than held his own as the team's entry fragger, usually the first one to push into enemy territory, gaining 38 kills and only 10 deaths.

The Valorant Huskies also claimed a 2-1 victory against UBCO Serpents Yellow in National Esports Collegiate Conference (NECC) action. Par provided 58 kills to 39 deaths in the inter-provincial battle.

"This week he was a large part of why we were able to do so well on attack across both series," Head Coach Ben Bramly said. "He is consistently atop the scoreboard, with a large portion of his kills being very important and impactful on the Huskies winning each round."

The NECC victory improved the Huskies' standing to 2-3 in the Challengers Cyan Division, the second-highest of the four divisions in Cyan. That has the Huskies currently ranked fifth out of 10 teams in the division while also making them the highest-ranked Canadian team in their division.

Par is currently enrolled in Fourth Class – Power Engineering at Keyano College. Those wishing to apply to Keyano College can click here.
