Dear Future Huskies & Parents,

Welcome to Keyano College, where your journey as a student athlete begins, and you become an integral part of the Keyano Huskies athletic program. We recognize that each individual's path in life may lead them in different directions, and we sincerely appreciate your decision to join our institution, athletic program, and the remarkable Wood Buffalo region. Situated at our Clearwater Campus in the heart of the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo, the Keyano Huskies take immense pride in celebrating the academic and athletic accomplishments of our student athletes. Since becoming a member of the Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference in 1985, the Huskies have proudly produced 12 Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association Academic All-Canadians and 138 National Scholars. Maintaining high academic standards is paramount to us. We expect you to dedicate yourself to excel in the classroom as much as you do on the field or court. This transformative period in your life is one where we are committed to providing unwavering support every step of the way. On the playing surface, the Huskies have consistently advanced in athletic excellence, amassing an impressive collection of banners that adorn our walls. We anticipate that Keyano athletes will not only excel in their respective sports but also demonstrate sportsmanship, respect for officials, and unwavering integrity. Our coaching staff is dedicated to delivering a top-tier post-secondary athletics experience. I encourage you to utilize them as valuable resources to help you achieve your goals both in your sport and beyond. As you travel, you will represent the College and our athletic program; we trust that you will embrace this role with the utmost care and consideration.

During your time in Fort McMurray and the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo, we encourage you to explore all that our beautiful region has to offer. From witnessing the enchanting Northern Lights to experiencing the extended daylight hours, you will quickly discover the natural splendor of our area. Our community, drawing people from all corners of the world, extends far beyond our campus borders. We take immense pride in our connections with the community and partners. As a Keyano Huskies student athlete, you serve as a role model for others in the region, and we have high expectations for your off-court conduct. Please engage with the local community responsibly and make the most of the enriching experiences it provides. We make a pledge to all parents that entrusting their son or daughter to us is a responsibility we hold in the highest regard.
