Keyano College Huskies Athletics today announced Jedrek DeGuzman (Regina, Sask.) as this week's recipient of the Keyano Huskies Esports Performer of the Week.

Playing under the username "GreatWitness", DeGuzman helped lead this week's charge for the Huskies' Call of Duty (CoD) team as they once again went 2-0. The Esports Huskies secured wins against Coffeyville Community College and Northeastern State University this week as part of the College CoD Stage 2 competition in the West Division. Across the pair of games, he had 156 kills and 35 assists while only recording 104 deaths.

"Jedrek had a few big plays when we needed to bounce back throughout the night," Head Coach Ben Bramly said. "This helped turn maps that we were behind, into victories."

"It's nice to see all members of the team rise to the occasion when called upon and DeGuzman filled that role perfectly.
DeGuzman pushed the Esports Huskies over the top in the 'Control' game mode, securing 26 kills and just 10 deaths against Coffeyville Community College before gaining 36 kills to 22 deaths against Northeastern State University. His performance allowed the Huskies to earn victories in both maps.

The Call of Duty Huskies are scheduled for their next matches on Monday, March 14 at 7:00 p.m. MT against Dixie State University and again at 8:30 p.m. MT against the United States Air Force Academy Esports Team.

DeGuzman is currently enrolled in Fourth Class – Power Engineering at Keyano College. Those wishing to apply to Keyano College can click here.
