Wielenga assumed the role of General Manager, Huskies Athletics on June 30, 2025...In his time coaching the Keyano Huskies Men’s Basketball team, Jeremy Wielenga has amassed a 123-25 record...Wielenga coached the program to they first ACAC & CCAA Championship in the 2023-24 academic year...Wielenga has also earned three additional ACAC medals with the Men's Basketball Huskies, two Silver medals and one Bronze...Under Wielenga, the Huskies have placed first in the North Division five straight seasons dating back to the 2019-20 academic year....Wielenga's first coaching win in the ACAC came on October 14, 2017 against the Grande Prairie Regional College Wolves by a 77-59 score...Wielenga earned his 50th ACAC coaching win on February 14, 2020, beating the Concordia Universit of Edmonton Thunder 104-77...Wielenga was recognized as the ACAC Coach of the Year in the 2019-20, 2021-22, and 2022-23 seasons...At the end of the 2022 season, he was recognized as the Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association's (CCAA) Coach of the Year...Wielenga is a National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP) Level III Basketball Certified Coach...He was previously the assistant coach for U SPORTS Men's Basketball programs at the University of Winnipeg (2016-17), Lakehead University (2014-2015) and Brandon University (2010-2014)...Wielenga coached with Neelin High School in his hometown of Brandon, Man...During this time as an assistant coach with Neelin High School, they won a Manitoba High Schools Athletic Association AAA championship in 2008...Before coaching, he played collegiate basketball for the University of British Columbia Okanagan in the Pacific Western Athletic Association from 2002 to 2003.
