Following a weekend sweep in Lloydminster, Alta., the Keyano Huskies Women's Soccer team will look to build upon their seven-game winning streak with a pair of games against the NAIT Ooks at Shell Place. The games will also serve as the final opportunity to watch the Huskies in the regular season, highlighted by Sunday's senior day, which will see three graduating players honoured.

Matchups:
Saturday - Keyano Huskies vs. NAIT Ooks - 2:00 p.m. - Shell Place (Free admission)
Sunday - Keyano Huskies vs. NAIT Ooks - 12:00 p.m. - Shell Place (Free admission)

Sunday's game will see the graduating trio of Isabela Bustos-Chaba, Blanca Palavecino, and Emma Bendera recognized for senior day.

With seven wins in a row and an 8-1 record overall and 24 points, the Huskies have assured themselves of at least a top three finish in the Alberta Colleges Athltic Conference's (ACAC) North Division. The Ooks enter the weekend with 5-2-1 record through eight games, meaning they could achieve 28 points at most by the end of the regular season.

A win in either game by the Huskies would confirm a top-two spot in the North Division, and an automatic berth at ACAC Women's Soccer Championships, while a pair of draws would also achieve a similar result.

The Huskies can also disrupt some history in the same breath of this weekend's results if they guarantee their finish ahead of the Ooks. The Ooks have finsihed at the top of the ACAC North Division for seven-straight seasons.

Though the Concordia Thunder hold the tiebreaker over the Huskies, there's still an opportunity to play for first in the Huskies' world, which is why securing nine points from their final three games remains ever important.

Last Sunday's six-goal performance set another record for the Women's Soccer Huskies in their best offensive season in program history. They eclipsed their 2019 total of 31 goals and have scored 33 goals with three games remaining.

After earning Keyano Huskies Athlete of the Week, ACAC Athlete of the Week, and CCAA Athlete of the Week honours, there's more recognition on the horizon for Felicia Rodney, who could become the first member of the Women's Soccer Huskies to ever lead the ACAC's North Division in scoring. She has 13 goals, two ahead of NWP's Medea Chiba, who has 11 with two games remaining.

Sophie Griffiths has moved into a tie for 10th in conference scoring with seven goals through nine games.

The Ooks have plenty to play for in their final four games as they look to create distance between themselves and the NWP Wolves in the standings. The teams rank third and fourth respectively and are separated by a single point. They'll also face each other twice to end the regular season.

Toni Burse and Lamisi Sirett lead the Ooks offensively with five goals each.

The Huskies have never have a perfect home record, but they have that opportunity to accomplish that this weekend with a pair of wins.
