Robert Murray

Robert Murray is the Coordinator, Huskies Home Game & Sport Information for Keyano Huskies Athletics. 

Hailing from Halifax, Nova Scotia, Murray graduated from Mount Allison University in 2013 with a Bachelor of Commerce and a Minor in History. At the school he served as Sports Editor of The Argosy, the independent student newspaper at Mount Allison and also played on the field lacrosse team.

Murray also earned bylines with other organizations during his time at the university level, writing for the International Paralympic Committee, Maritime University Field Lacrosse League, and Sportsnet Fan Fuel. During the 2012-13 academic year, Murray served as the National Sports Editor with the Canadian University Press. 

Upon graduation, Murray pursued a career in journalism, working as the Multimedia Sports Journalist at the Fort McMurray Today. Throughout his time at the paper, Murray provided extensive coverage of the Keyano Huskies, including their success at the ACAC and CCAA level. Murray also served on the board of the Wood Buffalo Sports Hall of Fame and Fort McMurray Flag Football during his time in the region. 

In the fall of 2018, Murray joining the Western Hockey League's head office as their Coordinator, Communications before moving back to Fort McMurray and joining the Huskies in the Fall of 2021.
