The Keyano Huskies Esports team are proud to announce the commitment of Call of Duty (CoD) player Brodie Chandler (Pembroke, New Hampshire) to the program starting in the 2022-23 academic year.

“I felt like this team is an underdog team,” Chandler said during a recent visit. “I feel like they needed some help in the standings and I feel like I can bring that. I also believe that this is an amazing area for me. I’m from a small town.

“For me personally, it felt like home from the first day I arrived here.”

For Chandler, it’s partially the realization of a long love of CoD and the chance to embark on his educational pursuits as he enrolls in the Business Administration Diploma with specialization in Esports Management.

“I’ve been playing this since I was a young young boy,” Chandler said. “What stands me out from everybody is how I think about the game, how I go about the game. I view it differently than everybody else, just because of how long I’ve been playing it.

“I felt that would be perfect for what I’d be doing in my career.”

From Bramly’s perspective, he was happy to add another key part of the Huskies’ Call of Duty squad that would keep everyone level and at their best.

“He’s just a really awesome guy in general,” Head Coach Ben Bramly said. “He’ll make a really good team leader for the Call of Duty team. He’s really calm, cool, and collected, and will help keep the other guys on pace to make sure we have the best game possible.

“He’s a really awesome player so he’ll just help take our team to the next level.”

The news of Chandler’s addition follows May’s recruitment of Chason Christie (Toronto, Ont.). Bramly said he was still on the lookout for more talent as the season approaches.

“We’re still looking to add one or two pieces, just give us a little bit more depth and try to give us a little bit more room to play around with the roster,” Bramly continued. “Being a four-person game, we’re sitting at around four or five guys right now.

“If we can add one or two to make sure we’ve got that solid next man up, I think we’ll be good.”

As for Chandler, he already had high hopes for his time at Keyano College, but simply wanted to get the school on the collegiate map in the game.

“First year, at least a winning record,” Chandler said of his hopes and expectations. “I would hope to get a championship, but at least a winning record and to get Keyano on the map in the college Call of Duty scene.”

The Keyano Huskies Esports team competes in a variety of online competitions throughout the course of the academic year.
