Tyneille Neufeld of the Keyano Huskies Women's Volleyball team has been named to the Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference's (ACAC) 2023 Women's Volleyball All-Conference Team.
The prestigious awards was recognized Wednesday night at a banquet in Red Deer, Alta. before the start of the 2023 ACAC Women's Volleyball Championships Presented by Elite Promo Marketing, hosted by Red Deer Polytechnic.
The Portage la Prairie, Man. product was instrumental in the Huskies posting a 13-6 record, sweeping all nine games, and finishing third in the ACAC's North Division.
Neufeld led the Huskies with 227 kills, which ranked her second in the entire ACAC. Her 3.60 kills per set ranked second as well.
On the Huskies, her 151 digs were second while her 22 blocks ranked fourth.
Neufeld is the first member of the Women's Volleyball Huskies to be recognized as a member of the ACAC's All-Conference team in back-to-back seasons since Niki Neufeld, no relation, was recognized in 2014-15 and 2015-16.
The Huskies will challenge the Red Deer Polytechnic Queens in their quarter-final match at the 2023 ACAC Women's Volleyball Championships Presented by Elite Promo Marketing at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 23, 2023.
