A trio of Keyano Huskies Men's Volleyball student-athletes have been named to the Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference's (ACAC) 2023 Men's Volleyball All-Conference Team.

Outside Hitter João Cunha (Rio de Janeiro, Brazil), middle blocker Athus Silva (Campinas, Brazil), and setter Nikola Sreckovic (Kragujevac, Serbia) were all named to the ACAC's North Division side of the All-Conference team Wednesday evening.

Cunha returned to the Huskies with a blistering season, leading the team with 207 kills. His 3.70 kills per set ranked second in the entire conference. He also tied for the team lead in aces (23) and was second in digs (86). Cunha was formerly named to the 2019-20 ACAC North Division All-Conference Team in addition to being recognized as a All-Canadian by the Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA).

He also contributed 14 blocks during the season as the Huskies placed second in the ACAC's North Division.

Silva earned his second-straight nomination to the ACAC's All-Conference team after being named to the select list in 2021-22. Making his presence felt at the net, Silva recorded 54 blocks to lead the Huskies and finish second in the conference, white his 1.0 blocks per set led the entire ACAC. He also finished fourth on the Huskies with 111 kills.

Sreckovic earned his first nomination to an ACAC All-Conference team after superbly handling setting duties for the Huskies during the 2022-23 season. He recorded 454 assists to rank fifth in the entire conference and place second among all student-athletes in the North Division. His 8.25 assists per set ranked third among all ACAC student-athletes and second in the North Division. Currently, Sreckovic has recorded 1,779 assists, surpassing the 1,5000 mark earlier this season. He is also on the cusp of surpassing 2,000 assists for his ACAC career, which would place him in the top six all-time.

These prestigious awards will be recognized prior to the start of each game on Day One of competition at the 2023 ACAC Men's Volleyball Championship presented by Elite Promo Marketing and hosted by Keyano College in Fort McMurray, Alta. from February 23-25, 2023.

The Huskies will open the tournament at 6:00 p.m., taking on the Olds College Broncos.
