Thirteen Keyano Huskies student-athletes recognized with CCAA National Scholar Award
Keyano College Huskies Athletics is pleased to announce that 13 student-athletes have been recognized with the Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association's (CCAA) National Scholar Award for the 2021-22 academic year.  
"We're proud of our student athletes for reaching this level of academic excellence during an extraordinary year," Jonathan Lambert, Director, Athletics & Recreation at Keyano College, said. "They go above and beyond in balancing their schedules with studying and athletics and are fully deserving of this recognition."

The CCAA National Scholar Award, presented by Nothers - The Awards Store, recognizes student-athletes who achieve honours standing in academics while competing in intercollegiate athletics. The CCAA wishes to thank Nothers - The Award Store, the Official Awards Supplier of the CCAA, for enhancing the presentation package that each national scholar will receive.

To be recognized, a student-athlete must achieve honours standing at their institution in the current academic year.

Student-athletes earning National Scholar Award recognition are:

Tyneille Neufeld (Volleyball)
Skylar Robertson (Soccer)
Veronica Rodriguez (Basketball)
Jacob Simmons (Basketball)
Raisa Stokes (Volleyball)
Sahil Walia (Soccer)
Travis Walls (Volleyball)
Kayla Wandowich (Volleyball)
Trey Weinmeier (Volleyball)
Ainsley Wolstenholme (Volleyball)  
 
Additionally, Women's Soccer student-athlete Felicia Rodney earned honours while attending Olds College of Agriculture & Technology. 

Gorieu, Neufeld, Robertson, Rodney, Simmons, and Wandowich also earned recognition for the National Scholar Award in the 2020-21 academic year. During the 2020-21 academic year, 23 Keyano Huskies student-athletes were recognized with the award.
